Time spent in nature should be time spent in the present, noticing the smell of the forest or grass, flowers, colours of the leaves, sounds of the birds, and touch of the grass and ground beneath our feet. Vivid imagination of these times brings us into a profound state of calm in hypnosis. Often the recollection of the beach, the water, the lapping waves as they crash gently on the shore sends us to a special place.
You can revise these memories every night and they can act as an anchor to self hypnosis and getting yourself deeply relaxed.
Practice Self Hypnosis by taking yourself down the stairs as your eyes are closed and through the door into your inner mind, where you can take a walk through your favourite nature scene. Do this every day, and notice how much calmer you can be.
